Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital is AAHA Accredited
We are pleased to announce that we
passed our 2008 American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) review on December 16, 2008. A limited number
of veterinary clinics in Colorado Springs have achieved AAHA accreditation. Only 15 % of clinics nationwide
meet AAHA’s high standards for patient care.
What is the
purpose of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)?
*Enhance the abilities
of veterinarians to provide quality medical care to companion animals.
*Enable veterinarians to successfully conduct their practices and maintain their
facilities with high standards of excellence.
*Meet the public’s needs as they relate to the delivery of companion animal veterinary medicine.
Why
is AAHA accreditation important?
AAHA is dedicated to “Healthy Practices. Healthier Pets”. Its purpose
is to enhance, support, and cultivate a veterinary community that offers the highest level of companion animal care and career
satisfaction for all practice team members. AAHA does this by being the total practice resource, providing
standards for veterinary medicine, and offering products and services that strengthen the entire practice team.
What
is involved with AAHA accreditation?
AAHA sets stringent standards for patient care, medical procedures, surgery, and practice
management. There is detailed assessment of all aspects of the veterinary practice. AAHA
evaluates our records, protocols, practice facility, equipment, continuing education training, pain management/anesthetic
protocols, emergency care, and patient care.
Our goal here at Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital is to work together as a team to provide the highest level of care
possible for your pets. We are committed to serving you and your pets.
