Dr. Thompson joined Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital during the 2006 summer. Dr. Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from Washington State University and a Veterinary Technology degree from Central Carolina Community College. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University in 2000. She did an externship at Washington State University and worked in Palmer Lake and Castle Rock before joining our practice. She really enjoys Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital's small family oriented practice after working at a large 10 doctor practice.     Dr. Thompson enjoys surgery, dentistry, and working with our great clients and their pets. She was a race veterinarian for the Yukon Quest Sled Dog race for four years. She has an interest in sports medicine and lameness.      Dr. Thompson lives in Larkspur with her daughter and significant other. She has a Border Collie, one cat, three horses, and  one mule. Dr. Thompson enjoys reading, training horses, hiking, and other outdoor sports.
